Rehearsals take place every Wednesday between 01:00 pm – 03:00 pm at the School of Music Rehearsal Hall (term time only).

About Percussion Ensemble
Percussion Ensemble is a small, non-auditioned ensemble , that has a tight-knit feel. Our members include people who have been playing for years and people who just came along for fun but all have a love for percussion, learning music and performing together.
We hope to introduce people to a range of instruments and genres from Latin American to ragtime to classical. Whether you’re a new to percussion, a musician who plays another instrument, or an experienced percussionist, we’d love to have you, and are very excited for the year ahead!
Meet the Percussion Team
Conductor
Evie Harris-Jackson
Evie is a third year BMus Performance student from Conwy. Originally a rock drummer, since joining LUUMS she has played in various percussion sections such as Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Orchestra.
Evie has had a love for percussion music since joining the percussion ensemble in her first year. Last year she arranged Billabong Valley for Percussion Ensemble, and she is excited to conduct and write more for the ensemble!
Manager
Avery Orchard
Avery is a second year from London studying International Relations. Before university, they played with the Camden Music service, where they fostered their love for singing and orchestral percussion, which is their main instrument in LUUMS. Avery spent their first year at Leeds in concert band, symphonic choir, symphonic wind orchestra, symphony orchestra, and percussion ensemble.
As manager of percussion ensemble, Avery is excited to arrange some repertoire for the ensemble, and organise socials so that everyone can get to know each other. Outside of music, they enjoy going out (you can expect to see them at every LUUMS social this year), cycling, and rewatching the US Office.
