LUUMS’ Chosen Charities

Future Talent

Future Talent is the UK charity supporting young musicians from low-income backgrounds for over 20 years. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Across the UK, there are thousands of gifted young musicians who lack the financial means to pursue their passion. Instruments, lessons, travel to rehearsals or auditions, and exam fees all come at a high cost, often putting music education out of reach for families on low incomes.

That’s where Future Talent comes in – offering tailored development programmes and financial awards to young people aged under 18 who are facing barriers due to their economic background. Through an annual programme of workshops, performances opportunities, one-to-one mentoring, and masterclasses alongside between £500-£2,000 of funding, we equip young people with the essentials they need to thrive.
