Interested in learning how to lead an ensemble? The LUUMS shadow manager and conductor scheme allows you to learn the ins and outs of how our ensembles are run! if you are considering conducting or managing an ensemble next year or want to learn how an ensemble is run, apply for a spot on our scheme by filling out the form linked above!
Successful applicants will be partnered with one of our 11 LUUMS ensembles to learn the ropes!
Shadow conductor responsibilities
- Seeing rehearsal plans
- Learning about rehearsal strategy
- Enquiring about leading sections of rehearsals
- Any additional interest can be explored with ensemble teams!
Shadow manager responsibilities
- Planning and printing repertoire
- Writing programme notes and newsletter updates
- Social planning
- Financing and budgeting an ensemble (including fundraising).
